Throwback ACL Regional

REGISTRATION OPENS SUNDAY 3/27 AT 12PM
NOTE: THIS EVENT IS ON SUNDAY 4/10

Let's have some fun this month! The great weather is coming to an end soon so let's get outside for one more event before it gets too hot! We'll have all of the traditional regional events plus long toss and Sit N Go's, as boards become available! We've rented out the Ruben Romero private picnic area at Kiwanis park. There's plenty of shade provided by the ramadas. You can bring your own coolers with drinks (no glass please). There's a playground and sand volleyball courts as well. Bring the entire family and make a day of it!

NOVICE DOUBLES AVAILABLE AT THIS EVENT!

Compete in singles or doubles events in Intermediate, Competitive or Advanced divisions. Each singles division will be a straight double elimination. For the doubles divisions we will be implementing the STACK Bracket, which is a variation of the double elimination bracket that gives you more than just the minimum of two games and keeps you playing so that there are NO TIES in the standings. This is an ACL Regional for those who are interested in the points. Non-ACL players are also welcome.

DIVISIONS
Each singles division is limited to 48 players and doubles are limited to 24 teams. You are welcome to play at a higher level than your skill but you cannot play at a lower level. Click here to see a description of each of the divisions.

REGISTERING
Every player has to register herself/himself for singles. Only one person per team has to register the team for doubles.

TIME
  • 8:00am - Gates open
  • 9:00am - Competitive Singles
  • 9:00am - Advanced Doubles (STACK Bracket)
  • 11:00am - Novice Doubles (Round Robin --> Elimination Round)
  • 12:00pm - Intermediate Singles
  • 2:00pm - Competitive Doubles (STACK Bracket)
  • 3:00pm - Advanced Singles
  • 5:00pm - Intermediate Doubles (STACK Bracket)
  • Sit N Go Blind Draws, if boards available.

ENTRY FEE
  • Novice doubles
    • $10/player (ACL Gold members or higher)
    • $15player (non-ACL members)
  • Intermediate divisions
    • $15/player (ACL Gold members or higher)
    • $20player (non-ACL members)
  • Competitive divisions
    • $20/player (ACL Gold members or higher)
    • $25 player (non-ACL members)
  • Advanced divisions
    • $25/player (ACL Gold members or higher)
    • $30/player (non-ACL members)

PAYOUT
  • Advanced: 80% payout (cash prize for top non-pro player/team)
  • Competitive: 65% payout
  • Intermediate: 50% payout
  • Novice: Prizes for the top teams

BAGS
Players can use any bags that are on the APPROVED ACL list.

Registration

We are going to start registering for ACL Regional, Conference and Open events through the ACL web-app. You will also need to load money into your ACL Digital Wallet so that you can register for the event once.
  • To load money into your Digital Wallet:
    • Go to app.iplayacl.com and log in (if you do not know your username or password then please contact [email protected]
    • Go to My Account from the slide out menu and scroll down to the Add Money to Digital Wallet button
    • Follow the prompts to load money into your Digital Wallet
    • Once loaded, you will be able to use these funds to pay for ACL entry fees. Payouts will automatically be distributed to your Digital Wallet at the conclusion of the event.
  • To Register for the event
    • Go to app.iplayacl.com and log in (if you do not know your username or password then please contact [email protected]
    • Click on Event Registrations
    • Click on Regional Event Registration
    • Locate Throwback Regional event and tap on it to enter the registration
    • Register for the desired events and pay using the Digital Wallet
    • You will receive an email confirmation once you have successfully registered
    • You can also verify by going to My Registrations button on the app's home page
