Recap: Chaparral Firebird Football Booster Club Cornhole Tournament

On Saturday, March 2, Chaparral High School parents and coaches showed up to support the team by competing in the 1st annual Chaparral Firebird Football Booster Club Cornhole Tournament. There were 25 teams that competed in a four-game round robin to determine seeding. At the conclusion of round robin, the top 16 teams advanced to a single elimination tournament with the top three teams earning prizes. In all, a total of $2,000 was raised at the event. Wow!

• Every Thursday: Weekly event at The QuartHaus is downtown Chandler. All levels welcome.
• March 16: Roots & Boots Cornhole Tournament in Queen Creek. All social level players welcome.
• March 17: O'Kelley's Sports Bar and Grill. All skill levels welcome
• March 30: Harold's Corral in Cave Creek. Social, Intermediate and Advanced divisions. Limited space.
• April 6-7: Lake Havasu Spring $2,500 Cornhole Championships. Multiple divisions available.
• May 17-19: ACL National Event at Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino in Maricopa (ESPN)
• August 17-18: Arizona State Cornhole Championships at Ability360 in Phoenix (multiple divisions)
