Recap: Tucson Toss Cornhole Tournament

On Sunday, November 25th, we ran the 2nd Annual Meridian Group Tucson Toss Cornhole Tournament benefitting the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The event was held at The Hut in Tucson and included 22 teams competing for the Tucson Toss Cup. It was awesome to hear the stories of a few of the players who had benefited from the Ronald McDonald House Charities in the past. The raffle, 50/50, entry fees and other donations helped raise over $2,000.

For the cornhole tournament, all teams competed in a four-game round robin with the top 16 teams advancing to a single elimination tournament. In one of the most exciting comebacks, Richard and Kevin, who were down 18-2, stormed all the way back to win the Tucson Toss Cup and the top prizes.

• January 5: Globe-Miami-San Carlos Strong Benefit Fundraiser Tournament (Multiple divisions/Regional)
• January 26: Cornhole Bowl VI (Amateur and Experienced Divisions)
