East vs West 5

Picture
Our 5th Annual East vs West Competition is going to kick off the new season! This is an event you DON'T WANT TO MISS! The East side won the first four years but the west side has exploded over the past 12 months. Defending champion - COVID - is not going to win this year! So who will take home the Bert Adams East vs West Trophy this year?

Along with the East vs West Competition, we have a number of additional events and ceremonies to celebrate last season's top performers and start the new season in style!
  • 2021 State Champions Jersey presentation
  • 2020-2021 Player of the Year presentation
  • 2020-2021 Copper Club Invitational
  • 2021-2022 Frequent Player Program Invitational
  • ACL Regional / East vs West Competition
SPACE IS LIMITED FOR THIS EVENT!!

East vs West Competition

Picture
The East vs West Competition started back in 2016 and in 2018, the East vs West trophy was renamed the Bert Adams Trophy to honor one of the living legends in the Arizona cornhole world. The event has grown year after year and moved requiring us to upgrade in venues.

For the first three years, the East dominated the participation and the overall points but as the West side grew the competition got tighter in 2019. With the explosion in popularity and increased number of venues to compete at over the past 18 months, the West is bound to make a run for the trophy this year.

East vs West Boundaries

Here are the boundaries for the East vs West event on October 16 & 17. I went through the top 100 from last year's standings and this was about as close to 50/50 as you're going to get!

East boundaries will include the Phoenix area and everyone east of Central Ave and down to the I-8 freeway. Also towns like Casa Grande, Maricopa, Coolidge, and Morenci will all be on the East team.

West boundaries include the Phoenix area and everyone west of Central Ave. Also, Tucson, Prescott, Yuma, and Lake Havasu will all be on the West team.

There are a few players in the Arizona City and Eloy area that can choose the side they'll play on based on where they typically play.

With so many Tucson players, perhaps next year will be East vs West vs South!

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What are the boundary lines for the EvW Competition?  TBD prior to registration opening.
  2. What if one side has more than the other side? If one side has less players than the other then their chances of earning points decreases. Put some pressure on your cornhole community to represent your side of town.
  3. What if my partner lives on the opposite side of the city than me? This is a unique event so you'll have to find a different partner. Your partner must be on the same side as you.
  4. What if I don't have a partner? Come anyways. There's always players looking for a partner.
  5. Are minors allowed? Yes. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Registration will open on Wednesday, September 22 at 6pm PST.
