Recap: Ahwatukee Little League Fundraiser

On Saturday, April 21st, we ran a fundraiser cornhole tournament for the Ahwatukee Little League at their annual family picnic. The event offered two divisions of competition: one for kids under the age of 12 and a second division for everyone over 13 years of age.

Both divisions started the event by competing in pool play where each team played the other teams in their group one time. The teams then advanced to a single elimination tournament based on the results from pool pool. All of the teams in the younger division were able to advance while only the top 12 teams in the older division advanced to the single elimination tournament. The top three teams took home some really great prizes:

• 1st Place: Each player on the team in each division will get 4 Dugout Reserve tickets to a Diamondbacks game of their choice. 
• 2nd place: Each player on the team in each division will get 2 Dugout Reserve tickets to a Diamondbacks game of their choice. 
• 3rd: Each player on the team in each division will get 2 movie passes and a $10 gift card to Cold Stone Creamery.

• Saturday, May 12: Mountain Pointe Football Boosters Cornhole Tournament. All levels welcome. 21+ Only.
• Saturday, May 19: Pub-N-Grub Block Party. 21+ Only (Social doubles, 5 Player Team Competition, Singles)
• Friday-Saturday, June 15-16: 2018 Arizona State Cornhole Championships. Divisions include Juniors 13 and under, High School division, women-only, seniors 55+, beginner, intermediate and advanced.
