Recap: Harold's Corral 83rd Anniversary Party

On September 29th, we ran three different cornhole tournaments at Harold's Corral 83rd Anniversary Party. What started out as a warm afternoon eventually turned into a cool spring night where the players to play a minimum of 5-6 competitive games.

ADVANCED DOUBLES
In the Advanced division, 11 teams competed in a round robin (four random games each) that determine seeding into a double elimination tournament. Doug and Bill finished 4-0 in round robin before again going undefeated in the double elimination to take the top prize. Michael and Wawwie fought off a sluggish 2-2 round robin to finish 2nd place. Tommy and Tino rounded out the prize winners with a 3rd place finish. See the FULL BRACKET here.

INTERMEDIATE DOUBLES
In the Intermediate division, 14 teams competed in a round robin (four random games each) that determine seeding into a double elimination tournament. Erik & Felipe (who are still signing up for intermediate level) finished 4-0 in round robin and then cruising through the double elimination tournament to take the top prize. Cooper & Melissa fought off an early loss to navigate their way back to the championship game before finishing runner up. Pancho and his son, Alex (one of our youngest players), had a strong showing finishing 3rd. See the FULL BRACKET here.

SOCIAL DOUBLES
In the Social division, 14 teams competed in a round robin (four random games each) that determine seeding into a single elimination tournament. After numerous events with us, Jason & Apryl chalked their first victory, going 3-1 in round robin and 3-0 in the elimination round. Jeff & Mike went undefeated in round robin, earning the #1 seed but ultimately finished 2nd place, falling to the winners in the championship game. Bradley & Bruce, who finished 3-1 in round robin, finished 3rd place in the social division. See the FULL RESULTS HERE here.

• Saturday, October 20: Billy Moore Days in Avondale. Social and Experienced divisions.
  
• Saturday, October 27: Oktoberfest at Ginger Monkey in Chandler. Social players welcome.
  
• November 2-4: 8th Annual Wild West Shoot Out in Las Vegas. Multiple divisions available.
