Recap: January Singles Regional and Blind Draw

We ran our first event of the new year on January 20. We were able to run four different tournaments on this chilly and sometimes rainy day - Advanced Singles (Regional), Competitive Singles (Regional), Blind Draw (Local) and 8 Bag Challenge Tournament (Local).

Advanced Singles: Congratulations to Jack E. for coming out of the loser's bracket to double dip Fausto G. for the win. Matt C. came in 3rd place. See the full tournament HERE.

Competitive Singles: Congratulations to Joey P. for also coming out of the loser's bracket to double dip rising star, young Melissa G.  Angie H. came in 3rd place, refusing to win so that she is moved up to Advanced. See the full tournament HERE.

Blind Draw Doubles: Congratulations to Alan D. & Michael M. for making it a third tournament of the day where the winner came out of the loser's bracket. They beat Angie H. & Larry F. three straight games to take down the win. Fausto G. & Ty L. came in 3rd place. See the full tournament HERE.

8 Bag Challenge Tournament: Lastly, we ran our second 8 Bag Challenge Tournament. Players participated in a double elimination style tournament where winners were determined an 8 Bag Challenge score. Jack E. took down Lito G. in the championship to win the event with Michael M. coming in 3rd place. See the full tournament HERE.

Here are our early events for 2018. Many events offer different divisions so that you can compete against people with similar experience. Please check out our website at kbkornhole.com/events to see a full listing. 

• Saturday, January 27: Cornhole Bowl V fundraiser event. (2 divisions - social and experienced) *ACL Regional doubles
• Saturday & Sunday, February 10-11: Street Eats Food Festival at Salt River Fields. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced divisions both days. *ACL Conference singles and doubles
  
• Saturday, February 24: Harold's Corral in Cave Creek. $1,500 in Cash and Prizes. Beginner, Competitive (formerly Intermediate) and Advanced divisions doubles, Competitive (formerly Intermediate) and Advanced Singles. *ACL Regional singles and doubles
  
• Friday-Saturday, June 15-16: 2018 Arizona State Cornhole Championships. Divisions include Juniors 13 and under, Juniors 18 and under, women-only, seniors 55+, beginner, intermediate and advanced.
