On Saturday, April 15th, we ran the Outlaw Annie's Cornhole Tournament at their entertaining venue in Cave Creek.  The event included different divisions for social and advanced players. In addition to cash prizes, the winning team in each division won an entry into the 2017 Arizona State Cornhole Championships on June 17th as part of Backyard Games Day (backyardgamesday.com). On the balcony, the social teams started in pool play followed by a double-elimination tournament. On the patio, the advanced teams played a double elimination tournament with best 2 of 3 games in each match. The winners for each event were:

Doubles

• Advanced division: Wawwie & Jose (bracket) - advanced division qualifier
• Social division: Javi & Michael (bracket) - intermediate division qualifier

On Saturday, April 8th, we ran the Wags & Bags Festival cornhole tournaments  at Ahwatukee Park in Phoenix.  The event included pool play for both Advanced and Social divisions. In the social division, the top half of the teams went on to play for the big prizes in the A-Bracket. The bottom half of the teams played for smaller prizes in the B-Bracket. The winners for each event were:

• Social B-Bracket: Saggy Old Bags - David & Brian (bracket)
• Advanced: Old Yeller - Bill & Alan (bracket)
