On Friday , August 28, we ran a "Mingle's Night" blind draw event at San Marcos Golf Club in Chandler. Congratulations to Vic & Travis, who took home the top prize. Jack & Todd took 2nd place. On Saturday, August 22, we ran a "Pros & Joes" at Fat Willy's Family Sports Grill in Mesa. There was a great turnout in what is turning out to be a favorite venue for the players. Congratulations to Semi-Joes (Bill & Dale), who took home the top prize. Want Sum Get Sum (Hector & Jason) took 2nd place and Boyz (Wawies & Chris) came in 3rd. We have recently started using X-Treme Cornhole equipment at our tournaments and the quality of his boards, bags and score towers have improved our events. Lastly, we appreciate your feedback regarding the tournament format. In future "Pros & Joes" events, we will use a BLIND DRAW format so that you get the chance to partner up with different people. As a way of thanking you for attending this tournament, EVERYONE who participated in this tournament will get 3 FREE ROUNDS of long toss at our next tournament at San Marcos on August 28. Check out our Facebook page for more images from this event. 8/15/2015 Results: "Jack & Jill" TournamentOn Saturday, August 15, we ran a "Jack & Jill" co-ed tournament at The Duce in downtown Phoenix. There was a great turnout despite the warm conditions inside. .5 KB (Bill & Cameron) took home the top prize. Cousins (Larenzo & Selena) took 2nd place and Love Dem Baggers (Connie & Hector) came in 3rd. Here is a link to the entire tournament: http://challonge.com/kb081515. We introduced our new "Beat the Pro" competition at this event. In the end, our competitors got the best of our pros, winning a "Total Duce Bag" t-shirt for their efforts.
We also broke in our new boards, bags and score towers at this event! Thanks again to Ray Sandoval and X-Treme Cornhole for providing the great equipment. Lastly, thank you to Doug for throwing out the "First Bag" to kick off the tournament. Doug suggested that we check into The Duce as a central location to run a tournament. He's also been instrumental in working through some larger scale tournaments that we have on the horizon.
