Recap: PPOA Cornhole Classic 2021 On Saturday, April 10, sixty-nine teams braved the Arizona heat to compete in the 2021 Peoria Police Officer Association Cornhole Classic at Tim Finnegan's Irish Pub in Glendale. The teams competed a two stage event. In the first stage, teams played a three game round robin. Results from Stage 1 seeded all of the teams into a single elimination tournament where the top four overall teams earned prizes.  On Friday, April 9, parents and coaches from the Chaparral Firebird Football community came together on a gorgeous April evening in Paradise Valley to compete in a fundraiser cornhole tournament. Thirty-five teams competed in a modified double elimination cornhole tournament. Each team played at least three games and then continued on until they lost their second game. Congratulations to Coach Zoo and Mark for winning the event with an impressive 7-1 record! 1st Place: Coach Zoo & Mark (7-1) 2nd Place: Matt & Steve (7-2) 3rd Place: Steve & Tim (6-2)
 On Friday, April 2, we ran the Wickenburg Cornhole Tournament at Coffinger Park in Wickenburg. Forty-two teams competed in the cornhole tournament, which was a two stage event. In the first stage, teams played a four game round robin. Results from Stage 1 seeded the top 24 teams (anyone who had two wins or more) into a single elimination tournament where the top four teams earned prizes.
